Enhanced Energy Announces the Acquisition of the Clark Valley Unit
Midway, UT – November 8, 2013. Enhanced Energy announced today, effective as of October 15, 2013, that it has acquired the leases of mineral rights to the Clark Valley Unit, which comprises approximately 13, 300 acres of land located 10 miles southeast of the town of Price, Utah. The Clark Valley Unit is part of the Farnham Dome, a large north-south trending anticline geologic structure approximately 4 miles long and 3 miles wide. The Farnham Dome was discovered in 1924 by the Utah Oil Refining Company, and subsequent explorations of the Farnham Dome have verified that it contains significant quantities of CO2 gas.
“The acquisition of the Clark Valley Unit is a major step in the expansion plans for Enhanced Energy, and we are excited about developing it over time. It contains large quantities of almost pure CO2 gas that can be utilized in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects, and it represents a strategic asset for the Company”, said Enhanced Energy President and CEO, William Benz. He continued; “ The Farnham Dome is one of only a handful of large CO2 gas reserves in the country, and its location, near oil fields where EOR projects can be successfully undertaken, is ideal”.
Enhanced Energy, LLC identifies, acquires, and develops properties, projects, and carbon-based gas resources that focus on enhanced oil recovery with significant growth potential through the use of oil field stimulation primarily by CO2 gas injection.
